I have some important and exciting news! Starting tomorrow, March 1st, yours truly will embark on a new adventure in the world of finance: I have accepted the position of Contributor Acquisition Manager at Seeking Alpha based out of New York City. As many of you know, I have been a contributor for Seeking Alpha since 2014, and I thoroughly stand by the mission of the company and the product they offer. My role will have me traveling to colleges and universities all over the country, talking to business students and their professors about writing for Seeking Alpha as a way to make themselves more marketable for the financial world. In addition, we get to organize and run some pretty incredible competitions and networking events.
Networking has changed drastically since the boom of social media and into the future it is more important than ever that young adults know how to use it to advance themselves and their careers rather than be self destructive. I'm so excited and honored to help change the world in this way. I have always wanted to work in a tech startup, and this company is moving in a great direction so I can't wait to be a part of their success.
Now you may be wondering, what will become of GradMoney now that most of my time will be dedicated to this endeavor? Fear not my friends! I will still keep up my blog posts though I cannot promise they will be as frequent as before, but they will still be here. This is far from the end of GradMoney - this is very much the beginning of something big! With support of financial experts in the industry, I hope to make GradMoney into a non-profit organization for students across the country. Now that I will be in New York City longer, I have many ideas about how to make this a reality.
Thank you all for your continued support, and by all means please don't stop! Keep sending your thoughts and questions my way - I'm very excited about the future!
Lots of love and light,
Greetings, GradMoney Readers!
